Peran Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam Membangun Kesadaran Sosial dan Kemanusiaan di Kalangan Remaja melalui Kegiatan Sosial

Abstract


This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic religious education in fostering social and humanitarian awareness among adolescents through social activities. In the era of globalization, adolescents face various social challenges that require a strong moral and spiritual foundation. This research employs the library research method by collecting and analyzing various literature sources related to Islamic religious education, the development of social awareness, and the implementation of humanitarian values. The findings indicate that Islamic religious education plays a strategic role in shaping adolescents' social awareness through the internalization of Islamic teachings such as empathy, compassion, and social responsibility. The implementation of these values in the form of social activities has proven effective in fostering social sensitivity, altruistic behavior, and solidarity among adolescents. This study concludes that an Islamic religious education approach that integrates spiritual and social dimensions has the potential to shape a young generation that is not only pious on an individual level but also possesses a high sense of social concern and responsibility toward others and their environment.
