Abstract

This article examines the comparison between Islamic educational philosophy and Western educational philosophy, as well as their roles in shaping students' philosophical thinking. Islamic educational philosophy is based on divine revelation and reason, aiming to form the ideal human (insān kāmil) who possesses both knowledge and noble character. In contrast, Western educational philosophy emphasizes rationality, empirical experience, and secularism. The study shows that Islamic educational philosophy provides a more holistic and integrative approach to nurturing students' intellectual, spiritual, and moral aspects. Through this approach, students are not only able to think critically but also grounded in strong ethical and spiritual values.
