Review of the Innovation Model Concept in Developing the Independent Curriculum as a Strategy for Implementing the New Curriculum in Education

Abstract


This study aims to review the concept of the innovation model in developing the Independent Curriculum as a strategy for implementing the new curriculum in education. The Independent Curriculum is a response to the need for a more flexible education system, focused on the holistic development of students' potential. Through innovative approaches, this curriculum is expected to improve the quality of learning by allowing schools and teachers the freedom to design and develop more relevant teaching methods. The findings of this study show that the application of the innovation model in the development of the Independent Curriculum can enhance the quality of education by addressing the diverse needs and characteristics of students. However, successful implementation requires strong support from various parties, including the government, schools, and communities
