Education and Islamic Philosophy Journal

The Education and Islamic Philosophy Journal is dedicated to the exploration of the philosophical underpinnings of Islamic education. The journal’s focus is on how Islamic philosophical traditions, including concepts of knowledge, ethics, and the purpose of education, shape and influence contemporary educational practices and policies.

This journal seeks to bridge the gap between the rich intellectual heritage of Islamic philosophy and modern educational systems. It provides an academic space for discussing the integration of Islamic philosophical concepts, such as the nature of knowledge (Ilm), the development of the human self (nafs), and the cultivation of virtue (adab), into contemporary pedagogical practices.

Contributions to this journal explore themes such as the relationship between Islamic epistemology and curriculum development, the role of Islamic ethics in shaping educational outcomes, and the philosophical foundations of teaching and learning. Articles may also examine how Islamic philosophical thought addresses current educational challenges, such as moral education, social justice, and the role of education in societal development.

The Education and Islamic Philosophy Journal encourages interdisciplinary research, drawing from philosophy, theology, education, and social sciences to deepen understanding of how Islamic philosophical thought can contribute to modern educational theories and practices. It also provides a space for reflection on how Islamic philosophy can guide educators in fostering holistic development in students.
