The "Advancing Islamic Thought in Education Journal" follows a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the quality and academic integrity of the articles it publishes. The review policy is designed to maintain high standards of scholarship, while also promoting fairness, objectivity, and constructive feedback for authors. Below are the key elements of the journal’s review policy:

1. Peer Review Process:

  • All submitted manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review, meaning that both the authors and the reviewers are anonymous to each other throughout the review process.
  • The editorial team ensures that all submissions are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the subject matter of the manuscript.
  • Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in Islamic education, pedagogy, philosophy, and related fields.

2. Initial Screening:

  • Upon submission, manuscripts are first screened by the editorial team to ensure they align with the journal's focus and scope.
  • Articles that do not meet the journal’s standards in terms of relevance or scholarly contribution may be rejected at this stage.
  • If a manuscript passes the initial screening, it is sent for peer review.

3. Reviewer Responsibilities:

  • Reviewers are expected to assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:

    • Clarity and Structure: The paper is well-written, logically organized, and follows the journal's guidelines.

  • If revisions are required following peer review, authors must submit a revised manuscript that addresses the reviewers' comments. Authors are encouraged to provide a response letter outlining the changes made to the manuscript.
  • Authors must adhere to the journal’s submission guidelines regarding formatting, referencing style, and ethical standards.

5. Decision and Feedback:

  • After receiving the peer reviews, the editorial team makes a final decision on the manuscript. The decisions are as follows:
