An Analysis of the Role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Character Building among Students

Abstract


This study examines the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in shaping students' character using the library research method. PAI teachers play a crucial role in instilling moral and spiritual values in students to help them become individuals with noble character. This study was conducted by reviewing various literature, journals, and books related to character education from an Islamic perspective. The findings indicate that PAI teachers act as educators, mentors, and role models in daily life. The strategies used include value-based teaching methods, exemplary approaches, and the integration of Islamic values into school life. These findings emphasize that character development can be effectively achieved through comprehensive religious education and the active role of PAI teachers in teaching and guiding students. Therefore, strengthening the role of PAI teachers is essential in shaping a generation with noble character in accordance with Islamic teachings
